A Letter from Judge Richard G. Opiela

Dear Friend,

As many of you may find it hard to believe, the holidays have passed and we are in a new year. Likewise, it is difficult for me to believe that I have served as your Magisterial District Judge for the last five (5) years! While my first term has gone quickly, it has humbly left me with many life lessons and experiences. One such lesson is that the role of “Judge” is not to decide whether people are good or bad, rather, whether their conduct and evidence presented violate a rule of law.

Similarly, it will be your decision as to who you will elect Magisterial District Judge in the upcoming May 19, 2009 primary election. Simply put, the voters will be asked which person factually has, can, and will do the best for Ross Township and West View Borough as Magisterial District Judge.

In 2003, I was successfully elected by family, friends, Democrats, and Republicans who believed in my message, “Justice for All”. I am excited to continue this same message along with the theme of “Progress” in my re-election May 19, 2009 and into my second term. I would be honored for you and your family to join my team in any of the following areas:

If you have not done so already, I encourage you take a moment and visit us at www.JudgeOpiela.com. Please pass the information/link to your family, friends, and business contacts. I believe our web page contains the details of what is being done and what will be done at District Court. Included in the web page are Court statistics, accomplishments, directions, hours, forms, and helpful guides for participants.

If you desire to join our team and/or have any question for the Court, please call (412) 745- 8343 or use the contact section of our website or by email, judgeopiela@fullservicenetwork.net. I would love to hear from you.

Thank you for your confidence in leading your District Court and your consideration in re-election on May 19, 2009.

Very truly yours,
